The Lego Movie comes from Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the directors of 21 Jump Street and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, not to mention the late, great TV toon, Clone High.

HELP I’M SO HAPPY

I have no idea what’s going on but yeah cool!

omg chris pratt and will arnett

i just shed a happy tear :’)

I am SO on board for this

I am on board-ish but like half on the dock

because voice actors that are famous actors don’t really add any appeal to me unless they’re good at not sounding like themselves (with few exceptions). I don’t want to hear an actor’s voice and think of the actor when I want to be engrossed in the movie

and also, the comedic style of the movie that’s represented in the trailer is okay, but not exactly witty or brilliant

I am going to want to see this but keep my expectations just above sea level (staying nautically-themed) so that if this movie is good, my expectations can be exceeded. cool.

Dynamic Target Tracking Camera System
Fast object tracking camera demonstration, capturing and focusing at 1/1000th of a second - very impressive - video embedded below:

Via DigInfo:

This camera system can track very fast moving objects, keeping them in the center of the screen at all times. Currently under development by the Ishikawa Oku Lab. at the University of Tokyo, this latest version captures Full HD video and can be used outdoors.
“Ordinarily, to change the direction a camera faces, you move the camera mechanically. But in this system, it’s not the camera that moves, it’s the mirrors. This makes it possible to change where you’re looking really quickly. In this demonstration, we’re tracking a table tennis ball. The ball moves extremely fast, but this system can keep compensating for the ball’s motion, so the ball stays in the middle of the image.”

I wouldn’t be surprised to see some kind of music video made with this to arrive soon …
